In particular, synchronizing the supply of sub-components to the manufacturer’s own production line proved to be extremely challenging.
The project objectives were:
• To aggregate the unpredictable/scattered demand for low-value parts on a global level
• To improve the on-time performance of the supply chain
• To establish buffer stocks to reduce lead time
• To enable more stable price management processes
As part of an ongoing project, AeroConsult is currently advising the client on the practical approach to the supplier integration, and the potential pitfalls associated with the restructuring a complex legacy supply chain.
